Today is National Day, am I willing to die for my country? Yes, I am! Absolutely, certainly, damn right I will. But not doing something stupid - like a jumper whose parachute won't open while performing during National Day.

But its not about death. Its about another damn sitcom on TV. I am now totally convinced that the only way to make it in showbiz is to massacre your identity, case point; Sikh guy cuts off his hair, denounces his religion, marries out and masquarades as a curly-haired, ill-educated, ill-mannered bisnessman! - Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Why isn't there anything on TV that positively reflects us Mats? Whats TV's idea of a positive mat? An electrical egineering undergrad or something whose dream is to light up Geylang Serai! They might as well make a sitcom about an under-the-block mat, chasing his dream of cutting a rock album, at a time when pop boy-bands are all the rage!

BUt enough, lets just celebrate today.
